Neighbor wars: let's just add to the unpleasantness

So. Today my wife told me that a city worker grilled my neighbor. What about? Apparently someone ratted him out for letting someone live in his garage. This is the same neighbor whose friends got into the street fight with the raging drunk that all damaged my work truck.

The city worker also inquired about some trash he had laying on his property for the last week. Now the trash only faces one direction... north, towards my other neighbor who hates the former’s guts.

We are concerned about some form of misapplied retaliation. Now, we have spoken since, but do recall that I told former guy after they damaged my truck to stay the hell away from my property or there will be problems. He complied. We more or less buried the hatchet since then.

My wife and I are wondering if we should talk to him. But you see, latter neighbor has tried to get me to [groans] align with him and stand against this guy. I don’t have time for this melodramatic bullshit. I have a life.

I think I would like to continue to stay out of it. Also because latter neighbor will be stooping through his blinds if I go over, I’m sure.

There are some not-great things going on there, but it’s not affecting my life. No one there is in danger or facilitating dangerous behavior. I’ve had worse neighbors. Just want a drama free summer because for the love of God I’m only 14 months into paying off this house.

I don’t have much advice but can totally sympathize. I considered leaving Denver altogether because I had a neighbor stalking me and I can’t really afford to live there if I don’t live in the house I currently (partially) own. Why can’t people just be cool?

(Instead I talked the stalker into moving. Which saved me entirely because he's had too many DUIs to keep a license so now he can't get here. So I guess my advice is to convince them both to leave?)

My neighbors are constantly arguing over parking spots. I live in a townhouse so there is a large parking lot we need to share. Some people seem to think everbody should has designated spots even though there is nothing on the lease about that. Not uncommon to hear people freak out over spots after 5:30pm. I payed for a garage so I thankfully can ignore the conflicts.

Just call him and tell him that you’re glad the two of you are past the whole truck thing and you don’t want to get involved in another dispute again. Especially when the whole thing has nothing to do with you.

Tell him it sucks what happened but you don’t know the details and don’t want to get involved.

Also, set up cameras outside your house. So the next time some shit goes down, you got it on tape.
